I did it for who just found OurSpace now and don't know nothing about it, it's a fast Explanation.
Please, comment just when I finish the tutorial and if you want to add something here, just let me know!
Here we go:
Part 1 - Understanding the Shared Space Window
1 - This is the area where you put the server number and the port to enter in a specified scene, we will talk about it later.
2 - Here you can do some actions like: Ask for help for the server owner or moderator.
3 - Chat Panel, you see the actual status of present users, like: If he is typing, inactive, ready, downloading, uploading. We will talk about it later too.
4 - Chat window, send messages appear here, also some server informations, like that someone entered or leaved.
5 - Type your message here, them send to appear at the chat window.
6 - Your current status, like: If you are uploading and if you is, how many. If you are downloading... If you are ready, etc...

Re: Knowing the Shared Space (Really Basic)
Part 2 - Connecting, navigating through servers and ports/scenes.
Numbers inside the blue box indicates the server I.P./Number.
Numbers inside the red box indicates which port you are in at the server.
-------------------------
Ports represents scenes, so to change manually to other scene you need to know which is the number of that port that contains the scene. In FrooSpace (The most famous server nowadays ) the port 1109 is the FrooSpace itself, the 1110 is the ScratchSpace, the 1111 is the DuskSpace (By 3DVD) and the 1112 is the MazeSpace (By Pugman)
Also inside of those scenes you can find a object that can take you automatically to other port/scene, they use scripts and here is a picture of one of those localized in FrooSpace:
You just click and go to the scene.

Part 3 - What is Happening
Do you have two things that can give to you good information of what is happening with your connection. Let's see.
The blue box shows your current status: Ready = Normal, Inactive = Don't move in the scene for some time (how many? 5 min?), Typing = Typing at the chat windows.
The red box show how is your ''lag'' like a ping in a FPS online game, if it overcome 500 K you are lagging, if overcome 1 mega you are with serious problems at you connection and it's better leave the server.
-----------------------
When you put a object in the scene, copy a object in the scene or modify or even move you need to upload the progress to others see too, so in this bar you see how many K or mega remain to be uploaded or downloaded.
More coming.... But you can now comment and correct if I did something wrong ad also add more things...

Re: Knowing the Shared Space (Really Basic)
leonregis,
this is fantastic so far! MANY thanks!
one question: how to add an object to scene correctly - just drag from my library? that worked for me when i put in the silly happy face object last TNL but is that the right way to do it?

Re: Knowing the Shared Space (Really Basic)
You can also add a name to the end of the address and port number.
Example:
//74.110.110.205/1109 FrooSpace
Example:
//74.110.110.205/1109 FrooSpace

Re: Knowing the Shared Space (Really Basic)
Part 4 - Interacting with OurSpace
You can do anything that you would do at Truespace the only difference now is that it will be showed in real-time to other users there, of course delays will happen doesn't matter if it comes from a slow upload or download...
Adding a Object to the Scene
Easy as offline, you can do through the library or the File>Load
Remember to not upload files larger than 5 mega and it's better upload simple objects (without SDS and much polygons). The red box shows a object that wouldn't be uploaded.
Other important thing is after load a object wait he be completely uploaded to then move and modify!
Saving a Object from the scene
You can save the whole scene, objects, materials, etc. Ie, anything in the server, do it like when offline, just going through file>save or by library.
Modifying
You can do anything that you would do offline in truespace, like add SDS, cloth attributes, Create faces, enter in edit mode. Anything, and that's the cool thing about the OurSpace, but remember that you are in a online environment so if you will do a big operation as add SDS or running physical simulation contact the moderator or advise everybody about that, maybe when doing that you lose connection or make others lose or even crash the Server.
FPN
First Person Navigation, it simulate you walking through the scene, other cool thing of OurSpace!
To enter in this mode select this button: While at the FPN you can't type and you collide with the objects (What not happens at the perspective view), to get out of the FPN mode you just need to click ESC or RMB, to enter again you can just need to click RMB again, for get completely out of the FPN you need to click ESC or RMB and then click on the FPN button.
You can change you attributes in the link editor to be taller, weighter, smaller, bigger, etc... Just find at the LE this thing:
Then in the Panel, change the Attributes...
Continuing in the Next post.
