Great!

Are you from Canada, per chance?

Keep tutorials and breakdowns coming! I should.. upload more videos of how I do things..

Ah, a tip. Save CTX files, it will backup not just your layout, but scripts and other "under the hood" stuff.

I enjoyed the video. Eventually, after updating my website I plan to make short videos on all the plugins and scripts. I wrote them and still lose track of how some of them work. :oops:

As far as the skeleton not lining up, that's what the "xfer bind" button is for. So you do the import, then xfer the bind if needed and then skin and transfer animations. So you basically run down the buttons from top to bottom. The reason is because different fbx files are written in different ways. Some write the bind pose which is like truespace default pose, others use the first frame of animation as the bind pose and still others bind some bones and use the first frame for the rest of the bones.

I'm glad you liked it clinton. Can you tell that i made it at 5:30 in the morning after getting very little sleep. :D That would be great if you made videos for your plugins. They really bring new life to TS.

I added another video explaining a bit more. If anyone else wants to add to the subject please do so here.

Does the "skin and transfer animations" button not work for your model? In the video you used the "xfer bind" button then manually skinned it.

The plugin only skins the main body mesh. Not the hair, eyes,teeth. I've only begun to experiment with this as you can tell, so i'm probably doing something wrong...

I attached a fbx model created with the autodesk character generator for you to try. Mind you that you can export different kinds of fbx from it.

Thanks for sharing that.
Ah. I forgot that the fbx import is limited to single mesh objects. The plugin skinning works well on the main mesh except for the eyes. For some reason the eye bones get assigned to half the face :o

No big deal. Just have to do it manually.

@Draise

Where do you save the ctx file to? Can't find a folder for it.

Thanks guys.

You can create CTX libraries with the library browser and save them to there. A project library is similar come to think of it.
