Request

Post by Steinie »

I need an icon that can be selected in tS7.61 so that "Nothing" is selected. I have
changed the textures on objects by mistake too many times. I thought the white arrow would do it but
Nope!
I thought I exited point edit mode only to find the object is still selected and now my new object I created is
attached to the old object...by mistake. There are many other examples of this problem.
This new icon would prevent these headaches.
Help!

If you installed the tS761 update then the Object tool and your keyboard's Space key should unselect everything selected. Even if you did not install it the Object tool should exit out of Point Editing. Sounds like you need to Reset the Default Context.

Well after installing I now know why Splinters is anxious to help you
design Icons!...
I can drag this bad boy to the LE but not the Icon bar. Is there a trick or
is this a treat?
If I click on the bar at the top of the icon it behaves like I want.
If I click on the icon itself (the ugly puss) nothing happens.
Can I get an icon that can be placed with the other Icons and reacts when I click on
the ugly puss?

LOL, I found it at the America's Most Wanted site.
From the Link Editor, Ctrl + Drag the button's titlebar to a toolbar where you want it.
You can change the icon by Ctrl double clicking the "Ugly Puss", your words not mine.

Ctrl Drag only makes a copy. Did you try this yourself? I cannot get it to sit
on the Icon bar.

You should see a Blue line where it can be dropped.
