Free Shade 3D for Unity for Mac OS X and Windows + Bonko

Post by Chikako »

Shade 3D for Unityis a set of modeling and animation tools based on Shade, the modeling|rendering|animation product.

It has most of the modeling tools of Shade (some from the Standard and Pro versions, too), and those there are useful for creating new models or importing in models in some other formats (OBJ, FBX). One really nice feature is the ability to import in an FBX model and then save it with new animations.

The Mac version is available through the Mac App Store, and the Windows one you can get via Mirye Store.

If you are using Unity, there's a great script via the Asset Store that lets you interactively open up scene models in Shade 3D for Unity, edit them, then have them automatically restored into the scene.

Also, there is a free character called Bonko which is great for experimentation!
