Re: What are you doing?
Its very easy to get judgemental about your own work to the point you don't share, 90% of the Thea renders I do never end up on the Thea forum. In the last three years I've only done three pictures I'm proud about, even then I pick fault with them  It really depends on what you do this for, t...

Re: The Bing is dead, long live the Bing?
Hi bitkar. My comment is based on conversations with Tomas, one of the trueSpace developers. Even when we were testing, you could see, it appeared they may have put themselves in a corner. That whole Bridge thing really was the death blow for them... how many years in development did TS7 cost them....

Re: Modo
Reality check time... I do not know your finances, nor will I ask. Take it from an older guy who has been on the road you want to be on, I am tired of the tool envy grind and churn, I am trying to simplify my life and the things I like to do. Ask yourself these questions: Do you need a commercial li...

Re: Messiah or Blender for animation?
The downside to messiah is the ngon tri thing, if you are in the practice of creating clean meshs, you will have no problems. Messiah still works with either tris or ngons, but it may cause rendering issues, and you can not use messiahs version of subd on your scenes... that may or may not be a prob...

Re: Messiah or Blender for animation?
I only really use messiah, so take this for all it may be worth to you. messiah has an autorig that gives a pretty good animating rig to use, some say as good as most commercial rigs. I have no way to verify this. Autorig works with some of the BVH library's out there, on setuptab, 3DFrog just left ...

Re: Pine Tree generator?
It's not really a generator, but it is free and they are from XFrog, a tad bit heavy for some projects, but you did not specify what you needed them for. http://www.xfrog.com/2011/01/130-free-xfrogplants-now-available/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Else look into one of th...
