Re: Windmill

Hmn... It could work, maybe they are a bit to short... It looks that way from this perspective, maybe not from another?
I'm Dutch so I should know ;) Then again, I've not seen that many windmills for many years since I actually live in Sweden.

Re: WIP- The Wrong Trousers

Cool, I think I've seen this episode. It's where the penguin is going to break into the museum right?
W&G's are great for inspiration, any stop motion type film is, I like Tim Burton's stuff too
Yes, I think so too.

Re: Halloween 2010

Heyy, that's cool :) I like the story of the animation, it's very sad. Halloween has never really been my favorite holiday but this is pretty nice work.
I'll be looking forward to the final version.

Re: Drill-thing

Yeah, I know that scene :) I've been thinking myself about a Thunderbirds vehicle called "nr 7" or "the mole". It's sort of the same idea and design. Then, yesterday I also had a really crazy idea about putting it on the arm of a very large robot. :D I also made a quick animation to post on my blog,...

Re: Drill-thing

Ok, I've sort of run into a dead-end... I'm not sure how to continue. Has anyone got any good ideas? Here I made a simple sketch of how I might continue... drillthingconcept1.jpg (Edit) Here is a quick preview of how it might look in 3d. drillthingconcept2.jpg I can't say I'm to happy with how it lo...

Are you using truespace? Model or workspace side?
I use both, I use the model side for modeling and other details and the workspace side for adding textures and colors.

The easiest way to create a toon shader for your model.

This can works in any 3d program and can be used for nearly any game, program or whatever you like :) Note that this is for beginners, not really for pros (since this may give the impression that you are unprofessional). Just follow these steps: 1. create a sphere 2. copy the sphere and enlarge 3. m...

Re: Sea Animal

That's cool!
I'm curious, what will you use it for? It would be awesome to see this in an animation.

Re: I'm new, I use TrueSpace and love it, sort of...

I use TS as a hobby. I'll probably migrate to other programs like Blender since TS is no longer in production but I'll certainly keep using it for many things it does well. . TrueSpace is still a hobby for me as well, I haven't made up my mind yet about what I'm going to do. Games sound interesting...
