Re: What do YOU use Truparticles for?
I used to use trueparticles quite a lot. Previous examples would be for air bubbles in my Thunderbird 4 image, smoke trails and explosions in my Future Fighter project and more recently as the sparks on a fuse for a "Mission Impossible" type intro. I also found that the more and more I use...

Re: MMC and SMC Challenges
Well, just for the record, I didn't take it personally. :) But on more than one occasion it was noted that the quality of the competition artwork has gone down, and that would cause issues with attracting new members. Just to be clear on this, I don't think that the lack of quality in recent SMC's/...

Re: Breech Block's Character Models
Thanks guys.
Steinie - Good call on the hands, I'll get that fixed straight away. I think your right on the cropping too.
Bitkar - The cloth is all done by hand. I put very deep creases in at the start by Point Editing vertices and then just use SDS to smooth them out.

Re: MMC and SMC Challenges
For some reason, this topic/conversation seems to be split over 2 threads. Personally, I think that before deciding on what should happen to the SMC/MCC, the opportunity should be taken to examine a few of the other related issues in a bit more detail. Again, going by the comments in the other threa...

Re: Breech Block's Character Models
Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Here is where I am at at the mo. Added studs and proper lace ties to the boots. Put some hair on the character as well plus a few other tweaks. Apart from a few texture corrections, I think this is about it. I'd be very intrested to hear if you think t...

Re: Breech Block's Character Models
Well, here is the latest update. Modeling and positioning the hands turned out to be even a bigger nightmare than I imagined. It was made even more so by the fact I did not position the arms correctly in the first place. Because of that, I had to remodel the arms and the shirt where his hands fold i...

Re: A New Character is Born
I asked them about putting pants on him and they said no they just want the shirt so although I agree with this and would even put shorts on him they said no. Well the client's wishes always come first in these matters. But in my experience, any public posters featuring this character the way he is...
