Re: The Tortoise and the H' Air

Fantastic detail as always, your textures always leave me feeling totally inadequate!

Re: Harold's House

Weird... one possible option as an alternative would be to make the paper using very thin swept rectangles and applying sds to get the curved shape... you could model and texture flat and then point-edit to get the deformed shape where needed...? Bit convoluted perhaps.... Great looking scene, as us...

Re: Sci-fi shuttle

This is what I was talking about... some of us can't see that either - I just get a blank space rather than an embedded vid - and my access rights here don't allow me to access youtube or other streaming video sites, so attached zips are pretty much my best hope of seeing animations... have to chec...

Re: My Building TSX

An interesting concept to be sure although I'm a little alarmed at the 'generation' times being cited in the example above - at those rates a full city could take a very long time.... be interested to see how you're coping with different building typologies - buildings with 'discrete' windows throug...

Re: A List Defining Textures/Shaders/Materials?

The short answer is that there isn't a short answer.... To some extent, it depends a bit which render engine your using as some shader types aren't available with some engines, whereas some shader types are available for lots of render engines. I'm only really familiar with Lightworks on t...

Re: rendering artifacts

This is a problem I've had a number of times when working with bevelling - for some reason the faces end up with a 'smoothed' material appearance - sometimes fiddling with the autofacet tolerances on the material settings gets round it but Iusually end up having to try to fix the geometry or rebuild...

Of course... :D
I like the wheels - they make me think of a Traction Engine! kind of appropriate....
Looking forward to your usual excellent work (and some cool textures) - is it going to be gory?

Re: CK ClothMotion Test

Any chance you can post zips of the animations? - I can't see anythin except a big blank space due to my restricted web-settings/firewall... presume it's U-tube or some other streamed site, hence the problem...

Agreed - great to see so many 'old' faces here too, as well as some new folks, great stuff.

Well done to Prodigy... now best go find myself an avatar, time for a change perhaps...

Re: External Renderers

It's a bit harsh to bemoan Rayman's grammar: his native language is not English, but he has tried hard to provide a lot of information - for free - to support tS users exploring other applications. If you are having specific problems, you could try asking him directly as he is always keen to help ou...
